Product description
Magnificent duo of lidded pots in turned stoneware, Studio Poterie, probably vintage French from the 80s-90s. Each in a beautiful superposition of flowing glazes in shades of brown, moss green and mint, black and rust with shiny coppery areas and speckles and small crystals in the glaze that reflect light, superb mastery, very beautiful technique and splendid glaze with vitrified drips reminiscent of certain Japanese ceramics like Takatori, the shape is more Western but modern with Asian inspirations. The lids, turned separately, feature a stepped knob in raw light brown speckled stoneware, as do the high bases with visible turnings. Incised signatures under the bases, workshop monogram “LA” (?) to be identified, confirming a studio potter production from this period.
Approximately 18-19 cm maximum height with lids, approximately 15-15.5 cm maximum diameter at the lids. Very good general condition for both, dense and clean glazing, some fine and rare scratches from use. Approximately 800gr per piece. These are unique pieces due to their glazing.
