This is a German wall or ceiling lamp in Sputnik style, a characteristic design from the mid-20th century. The piece embodies the aesthetic of the Space Age era with its dynamic, star-shaped silhouette and the use of contrasting materials. The lamp was manufactured in Germany around 1960 and features a central brass plate from which six light-bearing arms and six decorative black metal rods radiate. The arms have a dark patina and are finished with cream-colored sockets that accommodate candle bulbs.
