The DSS Side Chair by Charles and Ray Eames, second generation, in a beautiful yellow between egg yolk and mustard, probably Brilliant Yellow. This color was produced between 1959 and 1967.
The seat is made of molded fiberglass and mounted on a sturdy metal frame that is stackable and can be linked to another chair.
The chair is in good, used condition with a vintage character, showing signs of wear such as minor scratches and a small tear on the side (see photo). The metal frames show some rust.
The swivel legs are complete and functional.
Charles & Ray Eames designed these iconic DSS chairs in the 1950s; they were subsequently produced by Vitra for Herman Miller. DSS stands for Dining Side Stacking. Design classics and collector's items, Mid-Century Modern style.
