About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A DS-50 lounge chair by the Swiss manufacturer De Sede, executed in black leather. This model is known for its sculptural form and exceptional comfort, characteristic of De Sede's craftsmanship. The lounge chair is fully upholstered in thick, black quality leather, covering the seat, backrest, and base. The construction is robust, and the design, originating in the 1970s, is characterized by the flowing lines connecting the armrests and the base. The contrasting stitching accentuates the contours of the chair. The overall condition of the lounge chair is structurally solid and shows signs of a lifetime of use. The leather has developed a lived-in character and a clearly visible patina, contributing to the vintage appearance of the furniture. The original upholstery has been preserved. This DS-50 lounge chair is a characterful statement piece that fits well into various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to an eclectic or industrial decor. It is a comfortable reading chair or a stylish addition to a seating area.
