The collaboration between the car brand Cupra and the Italian design label Driade has resulted in an exclusive, limited special edition of the iconic Lou Speak armchair.
The Lou Speak was originally designed by the world-renowned French designer Philippe Starck (as part of the 'Lou family', which also includes the Lou Eat and Lou Read).
Features of the Cupra edition
This special edition combines Starck's organic, sculptural design with Cupra's sporty and luxurious aesthetic:
Upholstery: The shell of the chair is hand-upholstered with high-quality leather in a deep petrol blue color (a characteristic shade within Cupra's brand identity).
Base: The four-star swivel base is finished in an exclusive bronze/copper color, directly referencing the recognizable copper accents of the Cupra logo.
Detail: The official Cupra logo is subtly embossed/imprinted into the leather.
The regular Lou Speak is known for its enveloping 'cocoon' shape and Starck's statement that the chair forces you to "raise the level of your conversation". Thanks to the collaboration with Cupra, this design classic has received a rare, automotive-inspired restyling that was showcased, among other places, during Milan Design Week.
