Private sellerProduct description
A vintage furniture set by the German manufacturer Musterring, consisting of a sideboard and a matching tall cabinet. This set is a characteristic example of post-war design, where functionality and a sleek, geometric aesthetic come together. The design is characterized by the cubist-inspired, thickened panels on the doors, which gives the furniture a strong architectural character.
Both pieces of furniture are made of wood and finished in a soft, cream-colored lacquer. They stand on slender, white-lacquered metal legs that provide an airy appearance. The sideboard combines drawers with door compartments, while the tall cabinet is equipped with shelves, resulting in a spacious and versatile storage solution. The original metal fittings, with a bronze- or brass-like hue, complement the light color of the furniture.
The set is in good, well-maintained condition consistent with its age. The original finish has been preserved, contributing to the authentic vintage charm of the pieces. The overall construction is solid and the furniture is ready for immediate use.
This Musterring set is an excellent addition to an interior with a fondness for Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, or eclectic design. The sideboard and tall cabinet can be placed together in a living or dining room for a cohesive ensemble, or used separately to create unity in different spaces.
