Product description
This double-shaded metal floor lamp was designed by J. Hoogervorst for Anvia Netherlands. The piece exemplifies the functionalist approach of mid-century Dutch design, featuring a striking silhouette defined by its adjustable twin shades. Constructed from metal, the lamp pairs a sleek chrome-finished central stem with black cylindrical shades and a matching circular base. The dual light sources are independently adjustable, allowing for versatile directional lighting, whether used for reading or ambient illumination. The contrasting black and silver tones create a sharp, graphic presence characteristic of the era's industrial aesthetic. The lamp remains in good condition, retaining its original character and functionality. The metal surfaces show a natural patina consistent with age and use, preserving the authenticity of this vintage piece. Ideal for a reading nook or beside a lounge chair, this floor lamp integrates seamlessly into Mid-Century Modern, industrial, or contemporary interiors. Its architectural form serves as both a practical lighting solution and a sculptural design element.
