Product description
Beautiful and unusual vintage floor lamp by DOMUS, Germany, Type 6524.
The lamp features a striking sculptural wooden construction with an ingenious adjustable mechanism. The upper arm can be repositioned, allowing the direction and height of the light to be adapted to the interior.
Its large light-coloured textile shade is beautifully integrated into the curved wooden structure and produces a wonderfully warm and atmospheric light when illuminated.
The combination of natural wood, organic curves and functional construction makes this a particularly attractive example of German vintage lighting, with strong Scandinavian Modern and Organic Modern influences.
The original manufacturer label is still present:
DOMUS – Type 6524 – 220 V – 100 W
The lamp has a foot-operated dimmer designed for traditional incandescent bulbs. It works correctly with a suitable conventional bulb. With LED bulbs, the original vintage dimmer may produce a humming sound and is therefore not compatible with every LED. For permanent LED use, replacement with a modern LED-compatible dimmer is recommended.
