Product description
Striking Swiss design classic: The stackable chair Modell 6800, designed by Kurt Thut for the Swiss manufacturer Dietiker in the 1980s. One of the available chairs retains the original manufacturer's sticker Dietiker Switzerland on the underside.
The design is characterized by its unusual, constructively appearing formal language. Round legs made of light wood meet black connecting elements and a graphically structured backrest with several horizontal, slightly curved struts. The round black seat forms a strong contrast and gives the chair its characteristic 1980s look.
Particularly interesting is the well-thought-out stacking construction. The chairs can be stacked to save space, with the long round legs and open construction elements interlocking. This makes the model suitable not only as a dining chair but also excellent for studios, offices, meeting rooms, or other areas where flexible seating is required.
The combination of light wood and black elements gives the chair a distinctly graphic and at the same time functional appearance. An exciting piece of Swiss furniture design and a characteristic design by Kurt Thut.
Condition:
Used vintage condition with traces of age and use. The wooden legs show minor scratches, pressure marks, and abrasion. Scratches and partial paint loss are also present on the black construction elements. Some chairs show more significant chipping in the seat area, as can be seen in the detailed pictures. The black seat surfaces show age-appropriate signs of wear. The condition may vary slightly from chair to chair.
