About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This large vintage ceramic sculpture depicts a Great Dane in a sitting pose. The piece is in the characteristic harlequin color scheme known for this breed, capturing the elegant stature of the dog.
The figure was made in Italy and presumably dates from the 1980s. It is crafted from high-quality ceramic and features a glossy glaze that highlights the white and black spots. The detailed elaboration of the face and physique is typical of Italian art ceramics of this era and is reminiscent of the style of manufacturers like Ceramiche Boxer.
Overall, the sculpture is in a well-maintained vintage condition, reflecting its history. The glossy surface is well preserved and gives the figure a lively presence.
With its impressive size and striking design, this sculpture is a distinctive Decorative Objects. It is particularly well suited as a focal point in an entryway or living room and seamlessly integrates into Hollywood Regency style interiors or eclectic collections.
