Product description
High-end vintage trivet with rustic and classic charm. This collector's item consists of a faience or art ceramic tile manufactured by the famous West German factory Villeroy & Boch, in their historic Mettlach workshop. The finely detailed decor features a pointing dog amidst tall grass, watching for the spectacular flight of three game birds. The reverse of the ceramic shows the official markings engraved in relief, including the distinctive circular stamp "METTLACH VB" as well as the model numbers. The whole is mounted on an original raised protective structure of gilded brass with four scroll feet. Manufacturer: Villeroy & Boch (Mettlach, W.
