About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This seating group by the Swiss manufacturer De Sede features an armchair, a two-seater sofa, and a three-seater sofa from the DS-47 series. The set is distinguished by its robust construction and generous use of thick, high-quality leather, embodying the brand's commitment to craftsmanship and durability. The collection is upholstered entirely in a rich brown leather, showcasing the material's natural texture and grain. The design is characterized by its low-slung profile, wide armrests, and soft, sculptural lines, which create an inviting and comfortable seating experience. The pieces are a testament to the design ethos of the 1970s, prioritizing comfort and material honesty. Overall, the set is in a good, vintage condition, consistent with its age and history of use. The leather has developed a distinct patina over time, which adds to its character and tells the story of the piece. This natural aging process is a hallmark of high-quality leather and is often sought after by collectors. This comprehensive De Sede seating arrangement is well-suited for a spacious living room or lounge area. It anchors a space with its substantial presence and pairs well with both modern and vintage interior styles, offering a timeless statement of quality and comfort.
