In excellent condition. This piece is matted to 11"x14" by Wimberley. Signed below the image. Artist's stamp on the back, hand-titled and numbered "Print Number 4." This iconic image is "one of the most successful images in the modern photographic art market." These smaller prints, however, are extremely rare. John Wimberley is America's finest living landscape photographer, renowned for his stunning, evocative, and mystical images. Self-taught, he developed a unique style and development process, several of which have been published. Ansel Adams found his work stunning and praised its "richness and beauty." Wimberley had two two-person exhibitions with Adams, becoming the only photographer to be so honored. He is also an award-winning author, a renowned teacher, and is represented by galleries throughout the United States. His photographs have appeared in over 100 exhibitions, various international publications, and are represented in over 900 public and private collections. Purchased in Carmel in 2006. Shipped by express courier.
