Product description
Chinese painter Yu Deming (b. 1972) is self-taught. His first principles in art were the drawings he made on floors and walls in his childhood home. His parents, who were poor laborers, saw his desire to pursue painting but were unable to pay for an art education for him. For Yu Deming, no reason to give up drawing and painting. Yu Deming has now been working as an independent painter for more than 20 years. In the tradition of many beginning Chinese artists, in the first years he mainly copied the great European masters. And so the painter developed his talent and vision of great painting. Yu Deming is now far beyond the stage of copying. As an autonomous painter, he has earned a place for himself on the Chinese art scene with his refined and distinctive works, in which landscapes are his preferred subjects. Painted mostly on panel, using traditional tempera techniques and placed in attractive frames, Yu Deming's works are particularly charming pieces. Smoothly and boldly painted, the colors and brushstrokes are reminiscent of the great European masters of yesteryear.
