About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a set of two classic Delft Blue vases, crafted from ceramic. The pieces stand out due to their elegant hexagonal shape and the traditional, hand-painted blue and white color scheme characteristic of Dutch pottery. Each vase is decorated with detailed, artisanal paintings. One side shows a typical Dutch landscape with a castle, framed by an ornate cartouche, while the other sides are adorned with rich floral motifs. The bottom of the vases is marked with 'n/Delft', the decoration number 'dec 514', and the letters 'A' and 'B', confirming they were produced as a matching pair. The set is in very good condition, retaining its bright colors and glossy glaze. The vases show a character befitting their age and attest to careful preservation over the years, without significant damage. These vases make a refined addition to a classic or country interior. They can be presented together on a dresser, mantelpiece, or in a display cabinet to bring a touch of Dutch history and craftsmanship into the home.
