Exceptionally beautiful vintage Delft Blue lidded vase, ginger jar, hand painted. A gently ribbed model, with blue and white floral design with beautiful ornaments and a crested bird/paradise bird. Manufacturer VLS Velsen Holland, 1960s, signed, vase number 1449.
Dimensions:
Height including lid 36 cm, without lid 24,5 cm.
Diameter top side of vase 7 cm.
Diameter bottom side of vase 10 cm
Circumference 65 cm.
The vase is in fine vintage condition. There is some craquelé to be seen, but that comes with age (see photo 9). At the top the glaze is a very little damaged, barely visible, and not visible when the lid is on (see photo 7). On the underside a barely visible brown line, which I mention anyway (see photo 10).
