Product description
This is a Danish highboard from the Mid-Century Modern period, crafted from teak with a distinctively warm and expressive wood grain. The piece exemplifies the clean lines and functional elegance characteristic of Scandinavian design from the era, offering a substantial and stylish storage solution.
Constructed in Denmark, this vintage wall unit features a thoughtful configuration of storage options. It includes multiple cabinets with interior shelving, a central open display niche, and a series of drawers below, providing a versatile system for organization. The cabinet is elevated on slender, tapered legs, a hallmark of mid-century furniture. The overall dimensions are 226 cm in width, 45 cm in depth, and 130 cm in height, making it a significant presence in a room.
The highboard is presented in very good vintage condition, consistent with its age and history of careful use. The original teak finish has been well-preserved, showcasing a rich patina and the natural beauty of the wood. The structural integrity is sound, and all doors and drawers function as intended. Two keys are included with the piece.
With its generous proportions and timeless aesthetic, this highboard serves as an excellent focal point in a dining room, living area, or large hallway. It pairs well with other pieces from the Mid-Century Modern style and adds a touch of organic warmth and sophisticated character to a contemporary interior.
