Product description
A decorative wall tapestry with a colorful motif of houses and figures, designed by Piotr Grabowski, Poland. Signed GP. 1970s. Decorated with fringes.
Dimensions approx. 77 x 57 cm excluding fringes. Very good condition.
Piotr Grabowski graduated with distinction from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in 1957. He has been a member of the Polish Artists' Association (ZPAP) since that same year. From 1957 to 1973, he worked as a teacher at the State Centre for Visual Culture in Opole, and from 1959, he collaborated with CEPLiA, initially at the WANDA Cooperative in Kraków and then at the Cooperative in Opole. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions. He has received numerous awards and distinctions, primarily in the field of artistic tapestry. He has designed numerous monumental tapestries commissioned by public institutions, both domestic and international, which were realized at the Cepelia cooperative.
