The UNESCO chair was originally designed by Swiss designer and architect Robert Haussmann for the Salle Suisse in the UNESCO building in Paris. Thanks to its diverse design variations, comfort, and understated elegance, the cantilever chair became a highlight of the Swiss Design collection. Because the chair was suitable for series production, it was also sold internationally.
