Product description
Two-seat sofa from the iconic DS-125 collection, designed by German architect Gerd Lange for De Sede, Switzerland in 1978. This sculptural model is known for its fluid, monolithic form, striking zippered seams and bold curves of the armrests - a hallmark of Swiss modernism of the late 1970s.
This specimen is upholstered in the original thick buffalo leather, a material prized for its durability, strength and ability to develop a rich patina over time. The leather of this specimen shows clear signs of age and use, including visible stains, discoloration and wear. These traces of time give the sofa a raw, authentic vintage look that reflects its origins in the 1970s.
Despite its used condition, the construction is still solid and the seating comfort is intact, making this sofa perfect for collectors who appreciate honest vintage pieces in original condition.
