Rare Postmodern hanging lamp from the Italian design label De Majo, with (3) cylindrical pendants made of yellow satin Murano glass. This version with yellow glass is extremely rare. HISTORY The Italian design label De Majo was founded in 1947 on the island of Murano as a glass factory. The founder of these artistic works of art, Guide de Majo, has managed to distinguish his lighting from other brands by using beautiful Murano glass. This is clearly reflected in the contemporary collection. De Majo lamps can transform a room into a warm and atmospheric room like no other. That is why they are highly regarded within the lighting industry. DESCRIPTION - Tagged: De Majo - Peroni SD14D3. - Designer: Ufficio Tecnico - Design: 1959 - Age: 40-50 years - Country of origin: Italy - Scope of delivery: see photos / excl. (incandescent) lamps (many lamp choices possible / E27) - Material: frosted glass - Protection class: IP20 - Adjustable: Yes - Dimmable: Yes (depending on choice of lamp type) - Dimensions in cm (WxHxD): Ø14cmx30cm - Light source: E27 (max. 3x100 W) CONDITION The lamp is complete and in excellent condition with all parts, such as the cables and pipes, still in original condition. So not shortened. One of the glass pendants has a tiny chip on the edge on the inside at the bottom (see photo). This can largely be concealed cosmetically by applying a thin white layer. Otherwise no signs of use and therefore remarkably intact. The lamp has been cleaned and electrically tested. ASSEMBLY / CONFIGURATION The three separate fixtures are grouped close together in the photos at two different levels. Because the electrical cables still have their original, very long lengths (230 cm!), they are rolled up in the photos. When finalized, the wiring can of course be shortened. These large cable lengths also offer the option of placing the lamps at a large distance from each other or using the lamp with very high ceilings or vide. The stainless steel chrome-plated lid is ingeniously placed on the metal junction box with a separate magnet. The three steel cable holders can be attached separately to the ceiling with screws (included). Three plugs are included for stone or concrete ceilings. Then hanging the three lamps at the right height is easy. The barrel in the steel cable holder is loosened, the steel cable is fed in and through the hole in the side. Then carefully tighten the barrel with the spring-loaded input part completely and only by hand. Then, when adjusting the height, push the spring-loaded input part back a little and continue feeding the steel cable until the correct height is reached. Then just let go. The mechanism then provides the lock. This beautiful system allows very precise adjustment. (The round wooden white disc visible in the photos on which everything is mounted was purely made for presentation and taking the photos and is of course not part of the lamp). There is a tiny chip on the inside of the bottom of one of the glass cylinders. This can easily be remedied cosmetically by applying a thin white layer.
