Private sellerProduct description
This is a wall sculpture by the Belgian artist Daniel D'Haeseleer, depicting a hot air balloon. The work is a refined example of his distinctive style, transforming everyday and industrial materials into delicate, poetic objects with a sense of nostalgia and adventure.
The sculpture is crafted from a combination of materials that create texture and depth. The balloon itself is constructed from brass panels, spanned by a fine network of copper wire. Below it hangs a basket of woven reed, decorated with small fabric bags and metal anchors. The artist's signature, 'D'haeseleer Daniel', is visibly engraved on the metalwork, confirming the authenticity of the piece.
The object is in good vintage condition, with a patina consistent with its age and the materials used. The warm, golden glow of the brass and copper gives the work a lively appearance, while the fine details, such as the fluttering flags, suggest a sense of movement.
