Timeless this Windsor armchair by Ercol (type Goldsmith), made of elm wood. Stylish and yet with very high seating comfort In original condition! In a small number of places, a little paint has disappeared which gives the chair a nice patina. Otherwise in nice and solid condition.
This chair is by its graceful lines and shapes a beautiful design object!
In 1920 Lucian Ercolani started his own chair factory in High Wycombe, England. He used elm wood for the production of his chairs and benches. A type of hardwood that most manufacturers ignored because it was said to be impossible to work with. Ercolani took it up anyway, and with success. Ercol still makes furniture of high quality and in the distinctive style of the time with very high seating comfort. In very good condition. Scandinavian design Beautifully crafted screwless.
