About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
Rare Art Deco dining set from the prestigious Belgian manufacturer De Coene Frères, from the Voltaire collection, one of the most emblematic series produced by the Kortrijk workshop.
This homogeneous set includes:
An extendable table of 164 cm with 2 extensions of 47 cm each
6 matching chairs
A display cabinet (H 130 × W 100 × D 35 cm)
A 4-door sideboard (L 237 × H 97 × D 50 cm)
Each element is authenticated by its original stamp or identification plate. The original keys are present, and the bronze medallions as well as the brass sabots are perfectly preserved.
The characteristic curved lines, the superb mahogany veneer with warm reflections, and the bronze details testify to the quality of execution that made De Coene famous.
The set is in a very good state of preservation considering its age. It shows some traces of use and marks of time consistent with almost a century of use. A light refreshment could be considered depending on the future owner's requirements. Note: a chair back has a small chip visible in the photo.
