Product description
This is the iconic Cleopatra daybed, designed by Dick Cordemeijer for Auping in the 1950s. The design is characterized by its minimalist lines and the combination of industrial and natural materials, making it a timeless piece in Dutch design history.
The frame is crafted from dark grey coated metal and features Auping's signature spiral base. The ends are finished with solid teak wood panels, which lend a warm and organic look to the otherwise sleek design. The combination of the dark metal and the rich wood creates an elegant contrast.
The daybed is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. The metal frame and wooden elements have retained their original character, contributing to the furniture's authentic appearance.
This Cleopatra daybed is a versatile piece of furniture that fits perfectly into a modern, Scandinavian, or mid-century interior. It can serve as a stylish seating area in a living room or as a comfortable resting bed in a study or guest room.
