About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
The DAX Armchair, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in the 1960s, is an icon of mid-century modern design. This particular model is distinguished by its organically shaped seat shell and classic H-frame, which combines timeless elegance with functional sophistication.
The construction consists of a beige fiberglass shell with a black upholstery on the front. The seat shell is supported by a chrome-plated metal frame, which provides stability and a floating appearance. The combination of the textured fiberglass back and the dark upholstery underscores the authentic vintage character of this design.
The armchair is in good, age-appropriate condition and retains its original patina. The materials bear witness to an authentic history, lending the piece a special depth and character without compromising its structural integrity.
As a striking statement piece, this armchair integrates beautifully into sophisticated living or working environments. It complements both minimalist and classic interiors and serves as a historical anchor point in the room.
