Private sellerProduct description
This set is a creation by Danish designer Jens Harald Quistgaard for the manufacturer Dansk, dating from the Mid-Century era. The centerpiece is a solid teak tray, characterized by its distinctive grid pattern, a signature of Quistgaard's work that combines functionality with sculptural aesthetics.
The tray, measuring approximately 49 cm in height and 34 cm in width, is made of teak with a warm, natural finish. It is accompanied by nine square turquoise glass bowls, designed to fit perfectly into the tray's openings. This modular design is emblematic of Scandinavian design, where form and function are intimately linked. The manufacturer's mark is visible, attesting to its authenticity.
The set is presented in very good vintage condition, showing careful preservation over the years. The wood has developed a rich patina, and the glass bowls are intact, with no visible chips or cracks. The completeness of the set, with its nine original bowls, makes it a particularly desirable piece for collectors and design enthusiasts.
Ideal for serving appetizers, condiments, or tapas, this tray is also a decorative object in its own right. It integrates harmoniously into Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, or eclectic interiors, bringing a touch of vintage elegance to a table or buffet.
