Product description
Danish Teak Chest of Drawers, Denmark, 1960s A tall Danish chest of drawers from the 1960s, combining generous storage with a restrained and elegant mid-century profile. The cabinet is arranged with six full-width drawers, each fitted with a pair of sculpted wooden pulls that sit beautifully against the richly figured teak fronts. The drawer fronts display a particularly expressive grain, with broad flowing patterns running across the width of the cabinet. The upper drawer is fitted with its original lock, while the drawer boxes are constructed in solid wood with traditional joinery. Raised edges along the top and the slender tapered legs give the otherwise substantial piece a light and well-balanced appearance. Its relatively narrow footprint makes the chest especially practical for bedrooms, hallways or smaller interiors, while the six drawers provide substantial storage. The combination of warm teak, sculpted handles and clean proportions gives the piece a strong but understated Scandinavian character.
