The PH 5 pendant lamp is one of the most iconic designs in Scandinavian lighting. Designed in 1958 by renowned Danish designer and architect Poul Henningsen, it has been manufactured by Louis Poulsen ever since and remains a celebrated classic of Danish modernism.
Its distinctive multi-shade design is based on Henningsen’s innovative reflective lighting system, which directs light not only downwards but also sideways, gently illuminating the lamp itself. This creates a soft, warm and diffused light without glare, making the PH 5 both a functional lighting solution and a striking design statement.
With its timeless silhouette, the PH 5 looks beautiful above a dining table, kitchen island or in a living room. It fits effortlessly into contemporary interiors as well as spaces inspired by Scandinavian mid-century design.
