Collectible midcentury ceramic bowl by Jens Harald Quistgaard—Denmark’s “sculpting designer”—for Palshus Ceramics. The piece was created for Heering, the historic Danish liqueur house famous for their 18th century cherry liqueur. The triangular stoneware piece is finished in warm cream glaze with the embossed Heering family crest at its centre and raised text around the edges. The base is marked with Palhus 1HQ, Made in Denmark. Palshus was a renowned mid-century Danish ceramic workshop founded in 1947 by the husband-and-wife team Per and Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt in Sengløse, near Copenhagen. In good vintage condition with one imperfection on the brim which has been present since purchasing (see images for details). Pricing reflects this.
