Product description
Vintage Mid-Century Sofa / 3-Seater in Scandinavian Danish Design – Teak, 1960s/70s
For sale is an exceptionally beautiful vintage 3-seater sofa in the timeless Mid-Century Modern style, crafted from high-quality solid teak. The sofa embodies the typical design language of Scandinavian Danish design: clean lines, organic forms, and superior craftsmanship. Comparable models are frequently found at renowned vintage dealers and are categorized as Danish design of the 1960s.
The sofa impresses with its elegant, light appearance. The gently curved armrests, delicate proportions, and decorative open back with vertical wooden slats make this piece a true eye-catcher – even when placed freely in a room. The warm grain of the teak gives the piece the characteristic appeal of high-quality Scandinavian furniture from this era.
The original upholstery is in excellent, pristine condition. A special plus: All back and seat cushions are removable. The back cushions are securely attached to the frame with snap fasteners and can be easily removed if needed. The covers are removable and washable, a rare and extremely practical feature for vintage furniture of this kind. Additionally, the seat cushions have a protective fleece lining on the underside, which helps ensure their longevity.
The sofa has always been well cared for and is impressive both visually and functionally. The wood is in very good condition with only minimal, age-related signs of wear that underscore its authentic vintage character.
