This is the 1960s folding sideboard by Adam Hoff & Poul Østergaard for Virum Møbelsnedkeri, sold primarily by Illums Boglighus. It is designed for wall mounting. The lacquered back is made of masonite. The frames, clothes hanger and hooks are made of solid teak. Here you can see craftsmanship in the perfect corner joints and the convex top for cufflinks and jewelry. There are three carved hooks for belts and ties and a gently rounded clothes hanger with a small jacket for skirts. The dimensions from the wall when unfolded are 28 cm and the folding flap is held up by two leather straps. The dresser is marked, partly with the label "Made in Denmark - Virum VM Møbelsnedkeri" on the bottom left, and also with a label on the back, "Design Adam Hoff & Poul Østergaard.
