About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
For sale: A characteristic, original Mid-Century Modern dining set from the 1960s. This high-quality set consists of an extendable teak dining table and 5 matching chairs with beautifully organically shaped backrests.
Both the table and the chairs bear the prestigious Furnituremakers Danish Control brand mark on the underside. This exclusive quality mark (established in 1959) was exclusively awarded to top Danish manufacturers who met the highest requirements in terms of material and construction. A beautiful, valuable possession for lovers of pure Scandinavian vintage design.
Condition and characteristics:
• Material: Warm, atmospheric teak wood • with a striking wood grain.
• Table: Equipped with a smooth extension system, ideal for quickly creating extra seating.
• Upholstery: Comfortable, purple fabric that gives the set a unique, authentic vintage look.
• Vintage condition: The set is in beautiful, used vintage condition with normal signs of age.
• Honest points of attention (a project for the enthusiast): As is often the case with furniture of this age, some play can be felt in the backrests of some chairs (easy to tighten or glue). In addition, the seat of one chair is currently loose. For a handy enthusiast or restorer, this is a simple job to get the set back into top condition. The price has been adjusted accordingly.
