Product description
The EJ-20 lounge chair, designed by Jorgen Gammelgaard for the esteemed Danish manufacturer Erik Jorgensen, represents a compelling intersection of architectural form and traditional upholstery. This specific piece is highly desirable for its canonical cubic silhouette, softened by sweeping internal curves and executed in a rich brown leather that anchors the design in classic Scandinavian modernism.
Constructed with a robust internal frame, the chair features a continuous back and armrest element that envelops the sitter. The exterior is fully upholstered in grey leather, complemented by a loose seat cushion for enhanced comfort. The substantial body is elevated by four cylindrical metal legs finished in silver-toned chrome, providing a striking visual contrast that lightens the overall profile. Produced in Denmark, this piece exemplifies the meticulous craftsmanship and material integrity characteristic of Erik Jorgensen's heritage.
The chair remains in fully functional condition, retaining its structural integrity and original character. The leather exhibits a pronounced, authentic patina developed over decades of use, reflecting its history without compromising its utility. The original finish of the metal legs remains intact, contributing to the authentic vintage appeal of the piece.
This lounge chair serves as a commanding focal point in both residential and professional environments. Its authoritative yet inviting form pairs exceptionally well with minimalist contemporary interiors, mid-century modern living spaces, or executive offices, offering a sophisticated seating solution with undeniable historical provenance.
