These chairs are original Danish design and have been completely restored to their original glory. They lend themselves ideally to a stylish seating area or for at the breakfast table.
They have been refurbished by a lover of furniture design and upholstery, who wants to honor the authentic style. This gives new life to a piece of design history.
The frame of the chairs consists entirely of solid Wengé wood, characterized by its beautiful deep colors and grain. The wood and frame is in excellent condition. Its solidity can be seen in the weight of the chairs. The chairs are also exceptionally wide, which makes them absolutely unique. The wood has been stripped of old layers of lacquer and re-oiled for optimal color results. Apart from a beautiful and natural result, the oil-coating was deliberately chosen for its ease of maintenance. Should there ever be a small damage on the chair, it can easily be touched up without major difficult interventions. Instructions on how to handle this are included with your purchase. The seat and back are completely reupholstered and rebuilt. The fabric has a high Martindale rating, which means it is very hard-wearing and suitable for intensive seating use. The fabric selection matches the authentic color palette of the design.
The chairs are vintage, which of course means that they are not period objects (anymore) and it is possible that there are signs of use, even after restoration. When purchasing these two unique chairs, it is assumed that the buyer is aware of this.
