Private sellerProduct description
Rare large Model 2850 table lamp, designed by Italian architect and designer Daniela Puppa for FontanaArte in 1991.
This is the impressive large version of the 2850, measuring approximately 85 cm high.
The lamp consists of two sculptural frosted/opaline glass elements in a warm pale yellow / ivory-yellow colour, mounted on an elliptical textured aluminium base.
The piece retains its original manufacturer's markings:
“Fontana Arte – Made in Italy”
“Mod. 2850 – 1991 – Des. Daniela Puppa”
The lighting system consists of six light sources: four bulbs illuminate the large upper diffuser and two illuminate the lower glass body.
The two sections are controlled independently by a double switch, allowing the upper and lower parts of the lamp to be illuminated separately.
Designer: Daniela Puppa
Manufacturer: FontanaArte
Model: 2850
Country: Italy
Year: 1991
Materials: frosted/opaline glass, textured aluminium
Colour: pale yellow / ivory yellow
Dimensions:
Height: approx. 85 cm
Width: approx. 50 cm

The lamp is in very good vintage condition. Both large glass elements are complete and the original diffuser supports are present.
An unusually sculptural piece of early 1990s Italian lighting design, with a strong architectural presence even when switched off.
The model is rarely encountered on the market, particularly in this large format and colour.
Asking price: €2,100
Due to the size and fragility of the glass elements, collection or specialist furniture transport is strongly preferred. International specialist delivery can be discussed with the buyer.
