Daniel D'haeseleer - Signed Light sculpture in the shape of a ship
Belgium - Copper, Brass
Large, handmade wall lamp and sculpture in the shape of a sailing ship by the Belgian artist Daniel D'haeseleer. Made of brass and copper. The piece is signed on the front. Two light points are incorporated in the frame and create a beautiful shadow/light effect when burning. Vintage, retro, Hollywood Regency, nautical in style. In good working condition with 2 x E27 fitting. Can be hung on the wall with hooks. Wire must be connected to electrical socket in the wall. No switch or plug provided.
D'haeseleer (1947-) studied at the art academy and started out as a graphic artist. Later he evolved into bas-relief sculptures and three-dimensional art. He masters various techniques, but is mainly specialized in working with different types of metals. His work has been exhibited at various exhibitions at home and abroad.
