Product description
Original 1960s Czechoslovak stool in solid wood, featuring a distinctive sculpted saddle seat and clean square-section legs. The contrast between its curved seat and geometric frame gives this compact piece a strong architectural character.
Its restrained construction reflects post-war Mid-Century design, while the dark wooden finish brings warmth and depth. The simplicity of the form also shows the influence of Scandinavian furniture without compromising its Central European identity.
The stool works well as an occasional seat, dressing-table stool or sculptural accent in a modern interior. Its designer and manufacturer are unidentified.
Carefully checked and cleaned. The construction is stable and ready for use, with light signs of age consistent with a genuine vintage piece. Worldwide delivery is available.
