Product description
Cylindrical Wall Lamp by Uno & Östen Kristiansson for Luxus, Sweden, 1960s
This rare and elegant wall lamp, designed by Uno & Östen Kristiansson for Luxus, features a cylindrical white opaline glass shade resting on a refined wooden frame. The contrast between the soft, diffused light of the glass and the warmth of the wood exemplifies the Kristianssons’ masterful balance of materials.
Uno & Östen Kristiansson were renowned for their ability to elevate simple forms into timeless designs, and this lamp is no exception. The clean cylindrical form and natural materials create a minimal yet luxurious expression, perfectly representing Scandinavian modernism of the 1960s.
In very good vintage condition, this lamp is both a functional light source and a collectible design object — a rare example of the Kristianssons’ refined vision for Luxus.
