Product description
Cylindrical Wall Lamp by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Markaryd, Sweden, 1960s.
This elegant cylindrical wall lamp was designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced by his company in Markaryd, Sweden, during the 1960s. Its restrained form and refined proportions are characteristic of Jakobsson’s distinctive approach to Scandinavian lighting design.
The cylindrical acrylic shade beautifully filters and directs the light, creating a warm and atmospheric effect on the wall. Both lit and unlit, the lamp has a quiet sculptural presence that makes it suitable for a hallway, bedroom or living space.
The lamp remains in very good vintage condition, with only minimal signs of age and use. The original manufacturer’s label is still present. A timeless example of Swedish mid-century lighting by one of Scandinavia’s most celebrated lighting designers.
