ProfessionalProduct description
This is a bust sculpture by the French artist Agathon Léonard, made of biscuit porcelain by the Manufacture de Sèvres. The piece, titled "Amour" and dated 1926, captures the essence of the Art Nouveau style through its delicate execution and classical theme.
The work depicts a young Cupid with a serene expression, carrying a quiver with arrows on his back. Made of matte white biscuit porcelain, the sculpture measures 24.5 cm in height, 16 cm in width, and 10 cm in depth. The figure rests on a fluted circular base, adorned with a finely modeled rose motif, a characteristic detail of Léonard's work.
The piece is in excellent condition, consistent with its age. The matte surface of the biscuit highlights the fineness of the details, from the curls of the hair to the folds of the mantle covering Cupid's shoulders, showcasing the mastery of the Sèvres manufacture.
This bust is a refined decorative object, ideal for display on a console, a fireplace, or in a display cabinet. Its timeless elegance complements both classic interiors and those with a carefully selected collection of Art Nouveau pieces.
