Product description
The Radio Cubo TS505, designed by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper for Brionvega in 1977, is the evolution of the famous TS502 from 1964, one of the icons of 20th-century Italian design. Its characteristic two-shell structure transforms the radio into a compact and colorful object: when closed, it appears as a simple geometric volume, while once opened, it reveals the speaker and controls. A project where technology, functionality, and the Pop spirit coexist in an immediately recognizable form. Founded in Milan in 1945 and becoming Brionvega in 1960, the company played a fundamental role in the history of Italian design, entrusting its electronic devices to designers such as Marco Zanuso, Richard Sapper, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, and Mario Bellini. Radios, televisions, and Hi-Fi systems thus became true design objects, capable of combining technological innovation with aesthetic research. The TS505 perfectly represents this philosophy and remains one of the most recognizable symbols of Made in Italy even today.
