ProfessionalProduct description
This is a set of two vintage miniature paintings, each featuring a central Limoges porcelain medallion. The pieces are representative of the Rococo style and evoke the decorative opulence of the mid-20th century.
Each painting depicts a gallant scene in nature, signed in the style of Fragonard, on a porcelain medallion. This medallion is mounted on an intense red velvet passe-partout and framed by a golden inner molding. The outer frame, made of black lacquered wood, is adorned with floral motifs and gold leaf stars. Measuring 23 cm wide by 23 cm high and 3.5 cm deep, these pieces were produced in France, probably between 1950 and 1970.
The overall condition is good, consistent with their age and use. The original materials, including the porcelain, velvet, and ornate wooden frames, are preserved, retaining the character and aesthetics of the era.
This pair of paintings is ideal for adding a touch of classic elegance to an interior. They can be hung together as a diptych or separately to accentuate different spaces, complementing classic, Parisian, or eclectic style decorations.
