Originally from the Paris region, Sylvie Ajacques was born with a passion for drawing and painting. A trip to Zimbabwe and another to Nepal would be decisive in her desire to devote herself to painting to bear witness to the emotions felt in these distant lands. Her diploma in Decorative Painting from Paris allowed her to practice as a Decorative Painting artist, and subsequently, she devoted herself primarily to animal painting and sculpture.
It was at the foot of the Vaucluse hills that the artist settled, in one of those villages radiating light from which she draws the energy for her work. Specializing in the animal world, through the staging of its environment, Sylvie Ajacques seeks to highlight its characteristics: strength, weakness, elegance, cruelty, charisma... Trying to better understand it in order to better respect it.
