Product description
Rare and very beautiful covered vase or jar of glazed Persian pottery, Iznik, turquoise, entirely hand-painted with traditional black floral, vegetal and geometric motifs. Vintage 50s-60s. Unsigned. Relatively large, baluster shape, rounded pot-bellied body, small round foot, high slightly flared neck, small lid with a high knob. Nice work, fine decor, beautiful glazing.
35cm total height, approximately 17cm max diameter. Very good condition, some natural, superficial and discreet glaze cracks, some small discreet manufacturing defects, a small very discreet restoration on the lid, see photos. Approximately 1.200kg.
