Product description
The Dutch artist Corneille, co-founder of the Cobra movement, created this expressive screen print titled Tête Pensive, Soleil Rouge in 2000. This particular work illustrates the artist's distinctive visual language, combining a pensive face with organic motifs such as a bird and a fish within a vibrant, primary color palette.
The artwork was produced as a limited edition screen print on paper and bears edition number 29 of a total of 200 copies produced. In the lower right corner, the work is hand-signed and dated by Corneille in the year 2000. The composition displays a layering of bright shades of orange, green, yellow, and red, which is typical of his later, more stylized period. The piece is professionally framed behind glass in a sleek, silver-colored frame with a mat, which enhances the intensity of the colors.
The screen print is in excellent condition, with the pigments having fully retained their original brightness and depth. The paper shows no signs of discoloration and the signature is sharp and clearly legible.
