Cor Quax was born in 1927. He grew up in Schagen and moved to Beverwijk in 1985, where he passed away in 2008. He worked at Hoogovens and began painting as a hobby around the age of fifty. Cor Quax was born in Nieuwe Niedorp and had a great love for West Friesland. This is reflected in many of his paintings. During the more than thirty years that he painted, he built up a strong reputation not only in North Holland, but also in America and Germany. Type of work: Oil on canvas. Style: Realistic.
