About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A beautiful and now very rare piece of vintage design history. This is the absolute top model among flip clocks: the Copal Model 801, produced in Japan in the late 60s / early 70s.
With its generous size (also called the 'Jumbo' flip clock) and the iconic, soft yellow/beige casing with rounded plexiglass, this is an ultimate eye-catcher for any Mid-Century or Space Age interior.
Unique 2-in-1 function (Table & Wall):
Thanks to its ingenious design, this clock is multifunctional. You can place it on a dresser or desk with the chrome bracket as a striking clock, but it is also specially designed to be hung on the wall. An integrated hanging eye is located on the back. The chrome stand can be easily removed, transforming the clock into an amazing retro wall clock!
Why this item is special:
This is the original European 24-hour version (180-260V / 50Hz). Unlike many American import models you find online, this clock can be plugged directly into the socket here and runs perfectly synchronously and exactly on time on the European power grid.
