Product description
This complete Italian lounge seating set, designed by Gian Pietro Arosio in the 1970s, is a striking example of sculptural Space Age design. The set consists of a 3-seater sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table, and an ottoman.
The design is characterized by the high-gloss metal backrests and armrests, which form a strong contrast with the generous, voluminous cushions. The complete seating set has been reupholstered in a rich brown fabric, creating a warm and luxurious appearance. The sofa, armchairs, and ottoman are equipped with wheels.
The organic forms and ergonomically shaped seating sections offer high comfort, while the glossy metal elements and powerful silhouettes give the set a futuristic and architectural look.
A rare and characterful lounge set that effortlessly serves as a statement piece within the interior. The set is in very good condition.
Within the design world, there is debate regarding the exact attribution; some sources place the work in France, while others, based on comparative research and historical documentation, point to an Italian origin. In this case, the set is attributed to Gianpiero Arosio.
