A Parisian commode in solid walnut, Louis XIV period. It features five drawers in three rows on the front, decorated with S-shaped motifs. Bronze handles and keyhole escutcheons. Molded side panels. It bears the stamp of the cabinetmaker H. JORANT, flanked on either side by the JME guild mark for furniture made in Paris. Made in France in the 18th century.
